**Qualifications:**

* Certification as a Teacher of Music is required.
* Demonstrate knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities
* Experience as an elementary vocal music teacher
* Piano is preferred.
* Knowledge of curriculum modifications
* Demonstrate the ability to use digital equipment for word processing, data management, student information systems, information retrieval, visual and audio presentations, communications, telecommunications, etc.
* Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.
* Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community.
