St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and passionate 5-8 Instrumental Band Teacher to join our faculty for the 2025-26 school year. We are looking for an educator who will be committed to our mission and core values: We Pray, We Learn, We Serve

Plans and provides instruction for instrumental music students in grades 5-8. Engages in ongoing learning to remain current in emerging technologies, trends, research in order to model effective practice in 21st-century teaching and learning strategies. Must be committed to servant leadership; make and honor collaborative decisions; communicate openly, honestly and frequently; operate transparently while demonstrating a respect for privacy; model respect; and advocate equity for all students.

Desired Qualifications
The candidate must have solid knowledge of band curriculum in both music theory and performance, including concert band, ensembles, jazz band, marching band and soloists.The band teacher is responsible for assessment and evaluation of student?s abilities, strengths and weaknesses in the area of band. Teachers are expected to create engaging, challenging and innovative lesson plans that encourage and inspire our students to extend themselves to reach their potential in the fine arts area.
