Responsibilities • Collaborate with vocalists on performances for student lessons, recitals, and juries, requiring familiarity with a wide range of repertoire and fastidious attention to partner and self-awareness. • Schedule and oversee 9 professional and 6 student piano accompanists for over 1000 hours of work annually, managing class and performance logistics, arranging substitutes when needed, and providing coaching to student accompanists. • Accompany prospective students during 4 annual audition days, demanding exceptional sight-reading skills and knowledge of trends and new material. • Utilize best practices to rehearse and perform student recital material at a high caliber reflective of SMU and the Division of Music.
