Job DetailsJob Location: ECA - New Haven, CT 06510Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $44.02 - $44.02 HourlyThe ACES Educational Center for the Arts in New Haven, Connecticut is seeking an experienced part-time dance accompanist in modern dance and ballet. Expertise in piano and/or percussion is required. Candidates must have strong improvisational skills and the ability to perform music with appropriate rhythms and tempo. RESPONSIBILITIESAs the Musical Accompanist for the Dance Department you will work in cooperation with various dance faculty to provide piano and/or percussion accompaniment and musical guidance during dance and modern technique under minimal directionPlaying musical accompaniment for classesEquipment set up and break downCLOSING DATE: Until Filled QualificationsImprovise and perform music with appropriate rhythms and tempos by observing the movement of dancersPrepare and be consistent and the studioAbility to play piano or percussion instruments proficiently and follow musical directionAbility to maintain cooperative working relationships with students, faculty and staff
