**Job Summary:** The Pembroke Hill School is seeking an Accompanist for the Music Department in the Lower School, who will play for all lower school rehearsals and performances. This role is part time. 

**Qualification and Requirements:**

* Prior experience accompanying youth choirs or instrumental groups is preferred
* Strong sight-reading skills
* Proficiency in playing varying styles of music
* Strong preference is given to candidates with a minimum of 5-10 years of accompanying experience.
* Prior experience collaborating with a director is strongly preferred
* Occasional evening availability required (2 dates)

**Schedule**: The schedule is strictly on-demand and hourly for specific rehearsals and performances. 1-2 hour rehearsals daily between the hours of 9a-3p for the week prior and week of performances. Schedule will be provided in advance. 

**Compensation:** $25/hr.

* Ability to sit and stand for extended periods. For elementary and lower school, sit on the floor for extended periods of time.

* Ability to speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal classrooms, outdoors, and on the telephone
* Physical ability to lift, carry and/or hold up to 25 pounds to shoulder height and 50 pounds to waist height
* Ability to occasionally balance, reach, bend, squat, stoop, or kneel
* Ability to climb stairs, walk, and occasionally run, if required
