Adjunct Professor of Saxophone

The School of Music at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts seeks an individual to co-lead and co-coordinate the Saxophone Studio, helping craft a dynamic multi-genre experience teaching all facets of saxophone performance and pedagogy. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience as a soloist, performer, and teacher of improvised music and jazz, and will also be well‑versed in concert saxophone pedagogy and technique. This individual will collaborate closely with UNCSA Saxophone Studio Co‑leader Steven Banks to develop a modern hybrid saxophone studio that prepares students to excel across all saxophone performance modalities. • Earned master’s degree in Saxophone performance and/or Improvised Music, Jazz and/or Studio Music in Saxophone, with appropriate professional experience equivalent to a terminal degree in music; or an equivalent combination of education and professional performance and teaching experience Materials should be emailed to:
