After-school Teacher

Opportunity: Texas Music Partners (TMP) is seeking a part-time after-school teacher to come into AISD schools and teach established STEAM education courses to elementary students.This opportunity will run from January – May, 2025 Duties:Be a positive, professional representative of Texas Music Partners to help the organization reach more students in schools.Go into AISD schools and teach a one-hour+ class for students with a 15-20-minute lecture and a 30-40-minute activity, using tablets.Be prepared to capably teach daily material.Effectively, but tactfully, communicate to students, class expectations.Encourage students to do their daily activity and help them with problems.Offer students emotional encouragement.Submit pre-written lesson plans to the after-school coordinator.Be well-versed in acceptable class control and report students who repeatedly misbehave to the executive director and after-school coordinator, in writing.
