Becoming a Band Officer is an opportunity to serve your country while pursuing a passion for music. As a member of the Air Force band, you will be part of a team that brings ceremony, feeling, and ambience to performances. The key responsibilities of this role include leading Air Force bands through training and organization, managing personnel, equipment, and budget, and recruiting and evaluating potential new band members and officers. To succeed in this position, you must have a strong musical background, leadership skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. In addition to these responsibilities, Band Officers are required to complete Officer Training School (OTS), the Air Force Academy (AFA), or Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC).
