Role Description Applied Music Teachers at Bach to Rock Powell provide individualized and small-group instruction in their primary instrument, with a focus on piano and general music skills. Candidates should possess skills in Music Theory and general Music understanding to support structured, progressive instruction.Candidates should possess skills in Music Performance to demonstrate techniques, model best practices, and prepare students for recitals.Candidates should possess skills in Music Education, including lesson planning, classroom management, and age-appropriate teaching strategies.Candidates should possess skills in Piano to teach applied lessons, coach technique, and guide students through varied repertoire.Prior teaching or tutoring experience in music, especially with children and teens, is beneficial.Strong communication, patience, and the ability to motivate learners with diverse backgrounds and skill levels are important.Availability for after-school hours and weekends, as well as reliable on-site presence in Powell, OH, is required.A degree in Music, Music Education, or related field, or equivalent professional experience, is preferred.
