The Old Violin Shop is a 3rd generation violin making business. Since 1940's we have been working with musicians around the globe. The apprentice will learn the art of making fine violins. You do not need violin experience, however to be successful in this position you must possess: \\- Extreme attention to detail \\- A passion for woodworking or craft making \\- An inquisitive and open mind to learning \\- A background in stringed instruments is a plus \\- The desire to learn a new trade by one of the best violin makers (Luthier) \\- The ability to get along well in a small team and to work in a family business \\- The desire to make a difference as our family has a music foundation that supports music education in schools To apply for this position, you must be ready to learn a new trade and be extremely detailed. A positive, inquisitive personality is required.
