Job Duties • Perform a wide range of musical genres, including marching band, ceremonial band, concert band, classical, jazz, ethnic, and popular music. In the Army National Guard, you will acquire valuable musical training while receiving a regular paycheck and qualified for tuition assistance. Job training for a Band Musician includes 10 weeks of Basic Training to learn essential Soldiering skills, followed by up to 23 weeks of Advanced Individual Training based on your instrument proficiency.
