Are you passionate about music and looking to make a career out of it? Join the Army National Guard's band and bring your musical talent to life! As an Army Musician, you'll have the chance to perform in diverse environments, from ceremonial occasions to jazz performances, and even rousing marching bands. You’ll specialize in one or more instruments, including tuba, trombone, euphonium, bassoon, electric bass guitar, saxophone, flute, piccolo, oboe, clarinet, French horn, percussion, cornet, trumpet, guitar, and keyboard.

As a member of the Army band, you will excel as a professional musician, engaging in performance and rehearsal activities across various ensembles. To become a part of this elite group, you will need to successfully complete one or more auditions.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform in a variety of musical styles, including marching band, ceremonial performances, concert band, classical, jazz, ethnic, and popular music.
• Perform solo and in different ensembles, adapting to unique musical settings.
• Tune instruments to required pitches and transpose easy music as needed.

Instead of incurring costs to learn your craft, you will be compensated for your training. In the Army National Guard, you earn a steady paycheck while acquiring these essential job skills and can qualify for tuition assistance.

Your training as an Army Musician includes 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you will gain fundamental Soldiering skills, followed by up to 23 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, tailored to your instrument proficiency level.

Requirements
• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
• At least a junior in high school or possession of a high school diploma/GED
• Ages 17 to 35
• Ability to pass a physical exam and meet legal/moral standards
