About the Position

Anna’s Private Coaching Studio is seeking accomplished musicians and emerging music professionals to join our growing faculty as Artists-in-Residence throughout the Charleston, SC area.

This position offers college seniors, music graduates, performers, and educators an opportunity to provide personalized music instruction within a conservatory-inspired educational environment.

Our Artists-in-Residence foster musical excellence, artistic confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for music while representing the studio’s high standards of instruction.

Teaching Specialties

We are seeking instructors specializing in:

PianoVoiceViolinGuitarEarly Childhood Music EducationProficiency in multiple instruments or disciplines is an advantage.

Position Responsibilities

Provide individualized private music instruction to students of varying ages and abilities.Travel to area for scheduled lessons - must have reliable transportationDevelop engaging, age-appropriate lessons tailored to student needs.Integrate technique, music theory, musicianship, and performance preparation into instruction.Maintain professional communication with studio administration.Prepare and encourage students to participate in recitals and performance opportunities.Uphold the studio’s standards of professionalism, reliability, and musical excellence.Qualifications

Education: Must be a college senior pursuing a music-related bachelor’s degree or hold a completed bachelor’s degree or higher in Music, Music Education, Music Performance, or a closely related field.Musicianship: Demonstrated proficiency in the applicant’s primary instrument or teaching specialty.Experience: Private teaching, working with children, or professional performance experience preferred.Professionalism: Strong communication, organizational skills, and reliability.Transportation: Dependable transportation and willingness to travel to students’ homes throughout the Charleston area.Compensation & Benefits

$40–$50 per teaching hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and teaching assignments.

Available Teaching Hours:

Monday–Friday: 4:00 PM–7:30 PMSaturday: 10:00 AM–3:00 PMFlexible scheduling is available. Instructors are not required to work every day, and Saturday availability is optional. Consistent weekly availability within these teaching windows is preferred.
