JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Artistic Operations Assistant is an integral member of the Artistic Operations team, providing support to artistic and operations department activities, and the best possible service to Guest Artists and Guest Conductors, Musicians, Music Director, and Principal Pops Conductor. Provide support for community engagement activities as needed. • As requested by Artistic, Assist with creating and distributing artist itineraries as well as booking travel arrangements, hotel rooms and other miscellaneous details for Principal Pops Conductor and guest artists, and coordinate with the Finance department for timely payment of artist fees. In addition, the position includes regular communication and direct contact with guest artists, staff conductors, orchestra musicians, vendors, and volunteers, among others. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: The position requires a Bachelor's Degree, and some experience in arts management or customer service.
