Other Considerations
1. Abington Choral Club is an adult community chorus (80+ members) comprised of different ages,
interests and levels of musical experience and abilities. Our choral music spans the genres of
classic, pop, opera, classical, Broadway/movie tunes and has included pieces in Latin, Italian,
French, German, Hebrew, Spanish and Russian.
2. Time Commitment: This is a part time position. Rehearsals are 2 hours on Wednesday evenings
during our two concert seasons (September to early December and January to early May) with
some exceptions. Rehearsals on stage are typically held the Friday evening before the concert.
Community Outreach concerts, ball games and other special events vary with dates known and
coordinated in advance.
3. The Assistant Director takes instruction and guidance from the Music Director while serving at
the pleasure of the Board of Directors.
4. Annualized compensation, half paid following each major seasonal concert (December and
May), ranges from $3500-$4000 and is based on experience.
