Assistant Flyman

The Assistant Flyman is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the counterweight rigging system and related stage machinery at Atlanta Symphony Hall and other spaces in the Memorial Arts Building as assigned. The Assistant Flyman/Stage Technician is responsible for performing routine duties in the support of all stage activities related to the placement and movement of equipment and instruments; for the smooth and efficient operation of both ASO, ASHL, and non-ASO events in Symphony Hall and other spaces, as well as select services offsite, including park concerts, runouts, and tours. Perform routine maintenance as needed. An operation of hand tools, current sound, video, and lighting equipment, as well as an understanding of personal computers using Microsoft Office and Outlook applications is required. • Ability to work comfortably at heights - experience with loading bridges and previous experience operating theatrical counterweight fly systems.
