Assistant Professor of Music - Music and Technology

The Newcomb Department of Music in the School of Liberal Arts at Tulane University is hiring an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) with a specialization in music and technology. This expansion in the Music and Technology area creates promising opportunities for collaboration within the department and with other developing areas in the School of Liberal Arts, such as Digital Arts, Digital Media, and the Strategy, Leadership and Analytics Minor. The successful candidate will be a scholar or a scholar-artist with an active research/creative production/performance portfolio. • Working with faculty and administration in the Department of Music to continue the development of the BFA in Music and Technology and the potential design of a new MFA in the area. • Teaching experience in higher education or equivalent professional training experience • Active engagement with current emerging technologies in music and critical trends in the research on the topic.
