Assistant Teaching Artist

Colorado Music Bridge is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Teaching Artist in our IMPACT Music Programs in the Denver area. Qualifications... • Experience as a modern musician, playing and/or producing popular music styles • At least one year of prior experience teaching music to middle or high school youth, OR have successfully completed a Music Bridge Teaching Artist Internship • Sincere passion for teaching music to at-risk youth • Humility and enthusiasm for lifelong learning about the art and craft of teaching and integrating culturally responsive practices and therapeutic principles • Ability to self-direct and manage time reliably • Transportation is required Objectives: • Educate children, adolescents, and young adults about piano, guitar, bass, drums, audio production and/or vocals. • Assist CMB Teaching Artists with administrative tasks and leading classes. • Mentor young people by helping them develop as leaders, role models, and musicians in their personal and professional lives.
