About the Opportunity This tenure-track position offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team of faculty members dedicated to advancing the mission of the School of Music at Georgia State University. Responsibilities • Teach undergraduate and graduate students in applied violin and develop innovative curricula that cater to their diverse needs; • Contribute to the transformation of our curriculum and pedagogy to foreground experiential, interdisciplinary, and technologically enhanced learning; • Maintain a high profile as a performer and pedagogue through prestigious local, regional, national, and international engagements; • Recruit and retain talented violinists, particularly those from underrepresented groups; • Collaborate with string, instrumental, and all School of Music colleagues to advance the mission of the university; • Participate in faculty governance and contribute to the growth and development of the School of Music; • Establish partnerships with community organizations, music festivals, and other institutions to promote music education and performance; • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in violin instruction and performance. Requirements A master's degree in music is required, along with a minimum of one year of high-level professional performance experience and at least one year of violin instruction at the collegiate level.
