Audiation and Movement Teaching Artist

Through a dynamic combination of singing, rhythm work, music theory, percussion, composition, and movement-based activities students grow as musicians. Lessons are designed to support multiple learning styles while fostering creativity, focus, and ensemble awareness. This class serves as a core support for YMA’s Modern Rock Band and Orchestra programs by strengthening rhythmic accuracy, listening skills, music literacy, and overall musical independence. The instructor intentionally connects concepts from Audiation & Movement to repertoire and skills students encounter in their ensemble classes. The ideal candidate is energetic, creative, and comfortable leading movement-based instruction across a wide age span, with a strong understanding of music learning theory and/or experience teaching foundational music skills to diverse groups of students.
