Auditions - All String Sections and Section Oboe/HornValley Symphony Orchestra • McAllen, Texas, United States The Valley Symphony Orchestra is inviting musicians to audition for the 2026-27 season, specifically for all string sections and section oboe/English horn. Audition times will be scheduled by appointment once registration is complete and the deposit is received by the personnel manager, Scott Roeder.Auditions will take place in person on August 22, 2026, and will not be blind. Candidates must register by August 12, and the deposit must be received by August 17 to secure an audition slot. Virtual auditions may be considered on a case-by-case basis for those unable to attend in person, but candidates must contact the personnel manager by August 5 to discuss this option.The VSO performs five masterworks concerts each season along with a series of educational concerts.
