Auditions - All String Sections and Section Oboe/Horn Valley Symphony Orchestra • McAllen, Texas, United States The Valley Symphony Orchestra is inviting musicians to audition for the 2026-27 season, specifically for all string sections and section oboe/English horn. Audition times will be scheduled by appointment once registration is complete and the deposit is received by the personnel manager, Scott Roeder.Auditions will take place in person on August 22, 2026, and will not be blind. Candidates must register by August 12, and the deposit must be received by August 17 to secure an audition slot. For musicians traveling from out of the region, the orchestra offers a mileage stipend and lodging assistance. The orchestra operates on a per-service basis, with a section per service rate of $77.91 and an average of 4-6 services per concert cycle.
