Band Director

Position Purpose Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to provide appropriate instruction in a safe and orderly environment conducive to learning; provide faculty leadership and support to administration for the school curriculum and instructional process; and coordinate the band programs for the system. - Plans and uses appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of the students. - Works collaboratively with feeder school band director(s) to recruit and retain students at the high school. - Maintains professional relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and community members Important Note: Candidates selected for an interview by the hiring principal will need to provide the following: • Current and most recent supervisor's name and contact information • Two letters of recommendation OR two Applicant Recommendation Forms • Complete history of teaching experience • The hiring administrator cannot be a reference for you.
