About the Opportunity: • Plan, develop, and implement a comprehensive Band/Orchestra curriculum for students • Ability to instruct woodwind, brass, percussion and strings instruments • Conduct rehearsals and direct • Maintain and manage school-owned instruments and equipment • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment • Collaborate with other music and arts staff • Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify accordingly during the school year • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students • Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development • Manage student behavior in the classroom • Create a positive classroom environment for students to learn in • Communicate and meet with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child • Participate in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities, as needed • Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues • Perform other duties as assigned The compensation and benefits information below is accurate as of the date of this posting. The annual starting salary for this position is $51,000. Paid Time Off: The amount of Paid Time Off (PTO) employees accrue is determined by both their position and the length of their employment term.
