Bass Section Leader

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Bass Section Leader to inspire and guide our bass section singers. In this vital role, you will help with rehearsals and foster a collaborative environment that elevates our Choir's musical excellence. Your energetic leadership will ensure the bass section performs with confidence and enthusiasm. Duties

Lead the bass section during rehearsals and worship services, setting a high standard for technical accuracy and musical expression
Coordinate with the Music Director and other section leaders to ensure cohesive ensemble performance
Provide guidance and mentorship to section members, helping them improve their technique and confidence
Assist in tuning sessions and sectional rehearsals to address specific musical challenges
Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages collaboration, creativity, and mutual respect among section members
Support the overall musical vision by contributing ideas for interpretation, dynamics, and performance style

Qualifications

Proven experience singing bass
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
Excellent communication skills to effectively convey musical concepts and feedback
Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team of musicians and conductors
Passion for music education and continuous improvement in performance skills
Prior experience in a leadership or sectional role is preferred but not required
