Bilingual Musician Teaching Artist for preschool age education program

This is a part-time position with a children’s education program in Asheville. This post is for Spanish speakers, but we are also always looking for French or Mandarin speakers to join our multilingual team. We are looking for bilingual musicians who care deeply about additional cultures and who are passionate about working with kids 0-5. The schedule can range from teaching two separate 30- or 45-minute classes per week, to teaching several classes each week depending on need and availability. Qualifications: • Fluency in the target language (Spanish); strong preference for native speakers • 4 years working with kids ages 0-5 • Comfortable working in a classroom setting with kids teachers and kids parents • Ability to perform for kids with a dynamic voice and silly goofy games • Proficiency with a backup instrument (ukulele, guitar, keyboard, etc.)
