Job Objective: Work with children and adults in the corps and community to plan and implement a music program with will include teaching theory, performance skills, music, and values. Education: Bachelor's degree in music preferred, or extensive experience teaching music; relevant experience, as determined by The Salvation Army, may be considered in lieu of education. A strong commitment to support and promote the mission of The Salvation Army. Physical Requirements: This position is required to do light physical work period in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to use instruments and equipment needed in a music program. All employees recognize that The Salvation Army is a church and agree that they will do nothing as an employee of The Salvation Army to undermine its religious mission.
