Catholic Liturgical Musician

• *Organist and Associate Music Director** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced organist to join our team in Miami, Florida. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traditional Roman Catholic liturgy and music, including Gregorian chant, hymnody, Renaissance polyphony, and Latin choral motets. The successful candidate will be responsible for accompanying and rehearsing with choirs and chamber orchestra, playing all weekly Masses, weddings, funerals, and special liturgies, as well as collaborating with the music director/choirmaster on planning music for liturgies and concerts. Key Responsibilities: • Accompanying and rehearsing with choirs and chamber orchestra • Playing all weekly Masses, weddings, funerals, and special liturgies • Collaborating with the music director/choirmaster on planning music for liturgies and concerts • Arranging music for choirs and orchestra/brass ensemble when needed • Overseeing the maintenance of the organ • Serving as Artistic Director of the Miami International Organ Competition Requirements: • Master's degree in Organ or equivalent experience • Strong background in Catholic music and knowledge of the church's principles for music in the liturgy • Ability to make arrangements using music notation software • Some knowledge of pipe organ maintenance and tuning • Familiarity with graphic design, marketing, and fundraising • Practicing Catholic who adheres to the Church's teachings on faith and morals • Reliable, dependable, and professional demeanor
