Responsibilities include preparing and presenting musical offerings for services, leading congregational hymn singing from the piano, and collaborating with lay musicians, as needed. Serve as pianist and vocalist for 9 AM worship services on Sundays, September through mid-June, providing for all musical elements of the service, including but not limited to preludes, congregational hymns, liturgical responses, solos/anthems, and postludes. Weekly presence between 8:15-10:00 AM on Sundays to meet with pastors and hold occasional rehearsals, in addition to leading music in the 9 AM worship service. The Chapel Worship Lead Musician reports to the Director of Music, Village Church in Wellesley. Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for meaningful collaboration with the pastors and music staff of Village Church Wellesley & Weston.
