Chief Music Leader

Director of Sacred Music Job Opportunity We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Director of Sacred Music to join our parish community. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the Church's vision of sacred music and be able to work collaboratively with the parish priest to guide the parish in that vision. To be successful in this position, you will require: • A deep understanding of the Church's vision of sacred music • Excellent musical skills, including proficiency at piano, organ, and singing • Familiarity with the St. Michael Hymnal and the Sacred liturgy • Ability to direct and lead congregational singing Key Responsibilities: • Arrange music for all parish liturgies • Play at weekend Masses, weddings, and funerals • Recruit and train cantors and choir members • Schedule musicians and hold rehearsals for choir members
