We are looking for a Childcare Music Instructor to join us at our School of Rock Castro Valley location. Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and showsBe sure the students are learning the fundamentals of music, not just songsCreate and document thoughtful lesson plans Classroom/early childhood education experience required.Has a passion for and/or experience working with children under the age of seven (7)4+ years’ experience teaching and/or performing music professionallyKnowledge of music theory and curriculum design; concepts in music like rhythm, notation, pop and rock genresExcellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers, including but not limited to, children and parentsEnthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanorStrong organizational skillsVery strong customer relations skills on the phone and in personResourceful and good problem-solverWorks well under pressureIdeal candidate is proficient on at least one: guitar, keyboard/piano, drums, voice.Good judgment a mustPart time, some weekend day availability required.
