Duties • Play bass guitar during all church services, rehearsals, and special events to support the worship team’s musical arrangements • Collaborate closely with the worship leader and other musicians to ensure cohesive and inspiring performances • Maintain and tune your instrument regularly to guarantee optimal sound quality during services • Assist in arranging music selections that align with the theme of each service or event • Participate in weekly rehearsals, providing input and feedback to strengthen the overall musical experience • Support sound checks and technical setups prior to services to ensure seamless performances • Foster a spirit of teamwork and encouragement within the music ministry, inspiring others through your dedication and enthusiasm Qualifications • Proven experience playing bass guitar in a live setting, preferably within a church or similar community environment • Strong understanding of musical theory and rhythm, with the ability to read sheet music or chord charts as needed • Experience with theater or stage performance is highly desirable, demonstrating comfort on stage and adaptability under pressure • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse team members and adapt to different musical styles • Reliable transportation and commitment to attend weekly rehearsals and services consistently • Passion for worship ministry and a heart dedicated to serving others through music We’re looking for a talented bass player who is energetic, committed, and eager to contribute their skills to our faith community.
