Church Director of Music/Organist

The congregation values strong music leadership that enhances liturgical worship and supports congregational singing. The church collaborates closely with staff, volunteers, and ministry teams to create engaging and thoughtful worship experiences. Role Description The Church Director of Music/Organist is a part-time, on-site role based at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lemoyne, PA. Day-to-day tasks include selecting appropriate hymns and liturgical music, rehearsing with choirs or vocal and instrumental ensembles, and playing organ and/or piano for services. Qualifications Strong foundation in Music Theory and general Music skills.Experience or training in Church Music and liturgical worship practices.Background in Music Education, including working with choirs, ensembles, or individual musicians.Familiarity with Music Production or arranging, including preparing scores and adapting music for worship settings.Proficiency in organ and piano performance, with the ability to lead congregational singing.Ability to collaborate effectively with clergy, staff, and volunteers, and communicate clearly and professionally.Strong organizational skills, including planning worship music in advance and maintaining a music library.Prior experience in church or faith-based music ministry is preferred.Relevant degree or coursework in music or sacred music
