Church Muscian

The Church Musician will work alongside the pastor, choir and other church ministries to provide musical leadership for weekly services, special events as needed, and seasonal worship services. ● Teach music and songs to choir members of all ages as needed for church services and activities. The Church Musician serves under the supervision of the Board of Trustees, and shall be compensated at the rate of $300 per each Sunday service attended. ● Strong Christian in faith and practice;● At least a bachelor’s degree in Music or relevant field;● Proficiency in playing the piano – additional musical instruments are welcomed;● Ability to read music and arrange music for various church services as needed;● Strong leadership, teaching, and interpersonal skills;● Good organizational skills and attention to detail; and● Experience working with church choirs (adult and youth) preferred. The Church Musician is expected to play at funerals, weddings and other church events as needed,
