Church Musician & Accompanist

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and talented Church Musician and Accompanist (organ skills highly desired) to enrich our worship experience through inspiring musical leadership and creative collaboration with our Director of Music. This dynamic role combines musical performance, liturgical understanding, and community engagement to foster a vibrant spiritual environment. The ideal candidate will bring a lively energy, a deep appreciation for religious music traditions, and a versatile skill set to support our congregation’s spiritual journey.

Duties

Accompany the choir through once-weekly rehearsals, and play piano and organ (other instruments welcome if skilled) during Sunday worship services
Work with the Director of Music and pastor, collaborating through liturgical seasons, themes, and the overall message of the service.
Potential for musical improvisation and composition techniques to create unique arrangements or adapt existing pieces for special occasions.

Requirements

Proven skills and ability accompanying live musicians and choirs
Demonstrated ability to read sheet music fluently for piano and organ
Experience performing concert music in various settings
Ability to work collaboratively with clergy, choir members, instrumentalists, and community groups to deliver inspiring worship experiences.

Pay: $10,000.00 - $15,000.00 per year
