Church Musician and Educator for San Antonio

Role Summary: As a Cantor and Liturgist for our part-time role, you will play a vital role in shaping the spiritual experience of our community. We are seeking a skilled musician who can provide musical support for our 3pm Spanish Mass, animate the Sunday Liturgy, and create a welcoming environment for our parishioners. Key Responsibilities: • Provide musical accompaniment for prayerful services • Collaborate with the Pastor and Director of Music and Liturgy to secure instrumentalists as needed • Maintain professional and liturgical education through reading, workshops, and classes • Perform at special events, including weddings, funerals, and other occasions as required Requirements: • High School degree or equivalent • Ability to sing with accurate pitch and rhythm • Proficiency in playing piano or guitar, with a basic understanding of music theory • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with staff and management
