Church Musician - Lead Guitarist

New Vision Ministries in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a talented and dedicated Lead Guitarist to join our worship team. Duties and Responsibilities: • Play lead guitar during Sunday worship services and special events (e.g., holiday services, church conferences).• Collaborate with the Creative Arts Director, band members, and other musicians to create a cohesive and dynamic worship atmosphere.• Attend and participate in weekly rehearsals and any additional practice sessions as needed.• Be responsive to changes during services and adjust playing as required.• Ensure all musical equipment related to the lead guitar (amplifiers, pedals, etc.) is properly set up and maintained.• Maintain a professional and prayerful demeanor while on and off the platform.• Assist in song selection and arrangement under the guidance of the Creative Arts Director,as needed.• Be a team player, supporting other musicians and vocalists in creating a unified sound.• Participate in ongoing spiritual development and remain committed to the mission and values of New Vision Ministries. ).• Previous experience playing in a church or worship setting is preferred.• Ability to read music and follow chord charts.• Strong communication and teamwork skills.• A heart for worship and a desire to use music to glorify God.• Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to be available for occasional events outside of regular services.
