Duties

Lead and accompany congregational singing during worship services using keyboard piano.Help select approriate hymns, and contemporary gospel pieces that resonate with the service themes and congregation needs.Collaborate with clergy and worship members to arrange musical pieces that enhance the spiritual message.Rehearse when needed to ensure cohesive performances and smooth transitions during services.Incorporate musical improvisation skills to create unique arrangements or adapt existing pieces for special occasions.Manage acoustic treatment considerations within the worship space to optimize sound clarity and musical balance.Stay informed about various music genres blending traditional hymns with contemporary styles to keep worship engaging and relevant.Skills

Working knowledge of musical hymnody, and religious music performance practices.Experience working within church environments.Skilled in musical improvisation, composition, and music selection tailored to worship themes.Knowledge of acoustic treatment principles to improve sound quality within worship spaces.Theater experience is a plus for coordinating musical elements during special events or performances.Join us in creating inspiring worship experiences through your musical talent! Pay: $50.00 - $150.00 per hour
