Church Organist/Pianist (Part-Time)

Duties

Perform on the church’s organ during weekly services (Sunday Morning Worship- 11:30AM , Thursday evening Choir Rehearsal (1 Hour)Collaborate with the Worship Leader to select appropriate musical pieces that complement worship themesMaintain and tune keyboard and organ instruments to ensure optimal sound qualityLead rehearsals with choir members or soloists to prepare for upcoming services or eventsAssist in arranging music selections that reflect the congregation’s spiritual needs and musical preferencesSupport the overall musical ambiance by adjusting sound levels and acoustics as needed during performancesSkills

Proficiency in playing the keyboard and/or church organ with excellent technical skill and musical sensitivityStrong understanding of liturgical music, hymns, and baptist worship stylesExcellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clergy, choir members, and staffFlexibility to perform at various times, including weekends, evenings, and special eventsPassionate about using music as a tool for spiritual connection, inspiring congregation engagement, and fostering community spiritPay: $400.00 per week
