Church at SouthWood is a young church in the heart of the SouthWood community and the SouthWood Town Center. Our vision is to reach and pursue the people of Tallahassee, especially our SouthWood neighbors, and to grow a discipled community of Christ-followers.

Our worship gathering reflects a modern, contemporary style. The Production & Worship Coordinator plays a vital role in helping Sunday worship, livestream, media, and volunteer teams serve that mission with clarity, excellence, and consistency.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Production & Worship Coordinator is a part-time ministry role responsible for coordinating weekly worship production, leading and developing production volunteers, supporting Sunday service execution, and assisting with select administrative and media needs.

This role also includes worship-team support as a musician, preferably a keyboardist and vocalist, who can assist in leading worship when needed. This is an integrated staff, ministry, and Sunday-serving role. The person serving in this position is expected to participate faithfully in Sunday worship gatherings and church life.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

WORSHIP PRODUCTION & TECHNOLOGY

Prepare, organize, and operate or oversee ProPresenter for weekly worship gatherings.

Support livestream and streaming software workflows.

Coordinate MultiTracks/Ableton playback as needed; basic to intermediate proficiency is preferred but not required, and training may be provided.

Assist with stage, audio, video, slides, livestream, and related service-production setup.

Run or supervise soundcheck and service flow so volunteers and the worship team can serve effectively.

VOLUNTEER LEADERSHIP & PLANNING

Lead, schedule, train, and encourage production volunteers.

Use Planning Center Online to manage service plans, production roles, volunteer scheduling, and weekly communication.

Develop repeatable systems and checklists for Sunday preparation.

Identify needs, troubleshoot recurring issues, and communicate clearly with ministry leaders.

WORSHIP TEAM SUPPORT

Work with the worship team to prepare for weekly services.

Serve musically as needed, preferably as a keyboardist and/or vocalist.

Assist with worship leading when appropriate.

Help create a faithful, warm, organized worship environment free from avoidable technical distraction.

ADMINISTRATIVE & MEDIA SUPPORT

Assist with church administrative functions as assigned.

Create simple media assets as needed, including announcement slides, social graphics, ads, and short videos.

Support communication and coordination between worship, production, and church leadership.

Help maintain production equipment, organization, and inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED

A committed Christian faith and a desire to serve the mission of Church at SouthWood.

Ability to affirm and support the Baptist Faith and Message and the ministry convictions of the church.

Experience leading or coordinating a volunteer-led team.

Working knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly, ProPresenter, Planning Center Online, livestream software, MultiTracks/Ableton, Canva, and basic media tools.

Clear communication, organization, reliability, and attention to detail.

Collaborative spirit and ability to work with staff, worship team members, and volunteers.

Sunday availability is required.

PREFERRED

Experience serving in a modern contemporary worship environment.

Worship-leading experience.

Keyboard and/or vocal ability.

Experience creating church media, announcement slides, short videos, or social content.

Basic audio, video, and livestream troubleshooting ability.

Familiarity with Sunday service planning, rehearsal flow, and worship-team preparation.

SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION & REPORTING

SCHEDULE

Part-time position averaging approximately 15-28 office hours Tuesday-Thursday, occasional events, plus Sunday service responsibilities.

SUNDAY EXPECTATION

Sunday attendance and service participation are required. Occasional additional services or events may be required, such as holidays, special services, rehearsals, or church events.

REMOTE FLEXIBILITY

Limited remote flexibility may be available for certain planning, media, or administrative tasks, but the role is primarily connected to in-person ministry.

COMPENSATION

$15,000-$25,000 per year (flexible), based on experience, skill set, and final scope of responsibilities. Reports to the Lead Pastor and/or Worship Ministry leadership, as assigned.
