The Collaborative Pianist will accompany the AMP Youth Choirs in rehearsal and performance; accompany AMP Academy students in their solos recitals, adjudications, and auditions recordings; perform with AMP faculty, guest artists, and ensembles in a variety of settings, including chamber music, concertos, and collaborative concerts. Trained pianists with experience in various musical genres are encouraged to apply, including classical, jazz, improvisation, and mainstream music. Founded in 2010, the Atlanta Music Project provides world-class music training supporting youth growth and development. AMP’s partners and collaborators include the City of Atlanta Department of Parks and Recreation, Atlanta Public Schools, Clayton State University, and the Chestnut Family Foundation. Ideal candidate will possess: • A Bachelor of Music • Collaborative Pianist experience • Passion for music as a vehicle for positive social change • Experience working (music-related or other) with disadvantaged, urban/rural youth • Exemplary music performance ability/experience • Exemplary teaching ability/experience • Ability to inspire, work with, and mentor youths ages 6 and up • Excellent inter-personal skills and be comfortable working in a team • Ability to adapt, be flexible, and have a sense of humor
