Role Description The Collaborative Pianist will provide reliable, high-level piano support for choral rehearsals, sectionals, and performances at the Nashville Choral Institute. This part-time, on-site role in Nashville, TN includes reading and preparing scores, accompanying the choir and soloists, and assisting with vocal warm-ups and musical coaching. Strong piano performance skills, including confident sight-reading and the ability to accompany choirs and solo vocalists.Experience working in choral or vocal settings, with an understanding of rehearsal etiquette and collaborative music-making.Ability to interpret and follow a conductor’s cues, adjust dynamics and tempo, and support ensemble blend and intonation.Reliable time management skills, including punctuality for rehearsals and performances and consistent preparation of assigned repertoire.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with directors, singers, and staff.Formal musical training; a degree in piano performance, collaborative piano, music education, or a related field is preferred but not required.Comfort working in an on-site environment in Nashville, TN.Prior experience accompanying choirs, school or community ensembles, or vocal studios is highly beneficial.
