Contemporary Church Worship Leader & Musician

Job Overview: The Worship Leader is responsible for planning and leading music for worship services (Sundays @ 11:00 AM) and other special services/ events as needed (i.e., weddings, funerals, church festivals). Position Commitment: Part-Time, 10-15 hours per week. In person minimum requirement would be each Sunday, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM (to include: band gathering, practice, sound check and service) and any other additional scheduled rehearsals held at the church throughout the week. • Managing music budgetary expenses and purchase selected music tracks and music sheets for worship services and special services/events (i.e., Praise Charts, Multi-Tracks) • Working with the Senior Pastor to relate music to worship services and special services • Working with Sound & Media team to prepare lyrics in ProPresenter for screen display during worship services and special events • Manage Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) • Provide a Godly example for others to follow by modeling and leading heartfelt worship in an invitational style – that draws people in, encourages participation, and points people to Jesus. • Recruiting, auditioning, teaching, and mentoring musicians in the church to serve the congregation as a team with musical skill and humility in conjunction with Sound & Media Team.
