Contemporary Musician

Location: Altus Air Force Base (AFB) Chapel, Bldg 301... Duties: • Provide musical selections for the Contemporary Worship Service • Provide directions to additional musicians who may play a variety of instruments to include, but not limited to, piano, organ, guitar (acoustic, electric, and bass), drums and woodwinds • Coordinate weekly music rehearsals on an agreed upon date with the Praise and Worship Leader and Designated Chaplain • Provide music in support of the Contemporary Praise and Worship Leader • Conduct one (1) worship service per week • Conduct one (1) rehearsal per weekday in support of the Contemporary Praise and Worship Leader • Conduct Special Worship Service or rehearsal(s) • Have a working knowledge of the worship music used in multi-cultural Christian worship settings (preferably Protestant Christian) and an ability to learn various styles/new songs as they become prevalent. • Ability to read music, play by ear, and play a lead instrument (i.e., guitar, piano, and/or keyboard); must have knowledge of vocal harmony and able to provide accompaniment for praise team members and solo vocalists as needed Powered by JazzHR
