Coordinator of Bands, Assistant Professor

Loyola University New Orleans is seeking an experienced teacher, musician, conductor, and colleague who displays innovative approaches to educational pedagogy and ensemble conducting, to serve as the Conductor of Wind Bands and Coordinator within the School of Music & Theatre Professions. Teaching duties will include: • Direction of Loyola’s Wind Ensemble and Concert Bands, providing artistic vision and academic leadership of the Loyola University Band Program. Additional Duties: • Administrative leadership of the Band Program, including the faculty and events of the applied studios in the wind and percussion areas, as well as oversight of band office work study students. Minimum Qualifications: • Master’s degree in conducting or music education with significant professional experience. That report includes current policies and procedures of the University Police Department for the reporting of campus crimes, notifying the campus community of occurrence of campus crimes, policies regarding access to campus buildings, the enforcement authority of the University Police Officers and their relationship to local police.
