Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation is the umbrella organization that supports the activities of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Ailey II, The Ailey School, Ailey Arts In Education & Community Programs and the Ailey Extension. Robert Battle, Artistic Director, continues the pioneering work of Alvin Ailey and furthers the development of a cultural community which provides dance performances, training, and community programs for all people. Ailey Extension employs part-time musicians to play on its weekly schedule classes. Musicians are paid by per class basis. Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
