Resurrection is a growing four year-old church with over 200 members. Interested individuals should contact the Session ([email protected]) with resume.JOB SUMMARY: Plan and lead music during worship services each week, build a vibrant and talented worship team, and oversee all audio/visual aspects of worship and church life.VISION FOR MUSIC STYLE: Worship music at Resurrection will be biblically sound, vibrant, joyful, substantive in content, accessible to children and new Christians, and sensitive to cultural preferences and different demographics. While particulars of the music will be based on the lead musician’s gifting, we will seek to curate both historic and modern hymns and songs.REPORTS TO: The Session, via the Lead PastorRESPONSIBILITIES:Serve as primary musician / band leader during worshipWork with Pastor(s) in selecting music for worshipCoordinate arrangements of music for worshipCoordinate additional musicians for worship as neededBuild a worship team of volunteers from within the churchOversee all audio/visual aspects of worship and church lifeCoordinate sound equipment set-up and take-down each weekRequirementsJOB REQUIREMENTS:Deep personal love for Jesus and desire to see his Kingdom growFull alignment and investment in the vision of Resurrection Presbyterian ChurchWilling to submit to the Presbyterian Church in America’s doctrinal standardsAdaptability and flexibility to work at a newer church that meets in a community center gym2-3 years of worship leading experience preferredExcellent musical ability (both instrumentally and vocally)Highly organized, responsible, responsive, and creativeWilling to joyfully submit to the leadership and direction of the pastor(s) and SessionWilling to yield stylistically and preferentially to different cultural expressions of biblical worship as they arise in our church family and target ministry areas #J-18808-Ljbffr
