Customer Service & Purchasing for Musical Instrument Manufacturer

High quality musical instrument manufacturing company seeks a full-time person to join our customer service and administrative team. Responsibilities will include customer service and order-taking by phone and email, purchasing and receiving duties assigned by our purchasing manager (including occasional errands and infrequent large deliveries that involve lifting and carrying), and assorted other tasks. **Helpful traits:** • Knowledge of and passion for music and musical instruments • Desire and ability to connect with experienced and beginning musicians on the phone • Ability to provide helpful, courteous, and thorough customer service to both internal and external customers • Purchasing experience • Facility with and enjoyment of computers, numbers, and administrative systems • Mechanical aptitude and/or desire to learn how things work • Strong initiative and self-management skills • Inquisitive problem- solver • Extremely detail-oriented _My name is Ray Mooers and I’m the co-owner and founder of Dusty Strings Company, which started with a fascination for the hammered dulcimer in 1979. From our real grass-roots beginnings, we have had the opportunity to grow Dusty Strings into an internationally-respected brand of hammered dulcimers and harps, as well as a widely known and appreciated regional music store and music school in Fremont.
