Dance Accompanist Musician

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School We are seeking a highly skilled part-time musician to accompany classical ballet classes. As a key member of our team, you will provide inspirational accompaniment for dance classes and work closely with teachers in a variety of styles and rhythms. Responsibilities: • Play piano for afternoon/evening classes on weekdays and/or morning classes on Saturdays and Sundays • Provide professional atmosphere within the classroom • Improvise to accommodate different teaching styles Requirements: • Advanced level piano skills and proficiency in performing a wide range of repertoire required for ballet class • Previous experience playing for ballet technique/pointe classes is recommended • Ability to work with others, be flexible, and creative Benefits: • Robust employee assistance program • Paid sick time in accordance with the Pittsburgh Paid Sick Leave Act • Complimentary tickets to PBT performances and select cultural district performances
