The development assistant will be supervised by the JWF’s Executive Director and will work with our engaged Board of Directors and volunteer team. -supporting the research and organization of prospective corporate sponsors -supporting the Executive Director in preparing for meetings with funders -attending Events Committee meetings -using donor management software to maintain donor data and report fundraising results -managing the organization’s social media calendar and creating regular posts -creating newsletter content -writing and publishing blog content REQUIRED SKILLS -Excellent oral and written communication skills. DESIRED EXPERIENCE -One or more years of experience with nonprofit fundraising and communications or the aptitude and strong desire to learn and build these skills. -Previous experience supporting musical events and/or writing about music is a plus. COMPENSATION This is a part-time position paid at $20-$25/hour, depending on experience.
